Relay for Life Nordicstyle
March 6-7, 2010 – Stowe
Think snow! Fight cancer! Come to the Trapp Family Lodge for the annual Relay for Life Nordicstyle, the only Nordicstyle relay in the country. This is a unique opportunity for winter enthusiasts to join the fight against cancer. Gorgeous Gardens & Green Living Show
March 13-14, 2010 – Manchester
Green Works announces the Gorgeous Gardens & Green Living Show, a new two-day event in southern Vermont. The show will feature three educational tracks: horticulture, agriculture and sustainable homes and gardens, in 25 unique seminars. The Riley Rink. North American Telemark Festival at Mad River Glen
March 13-14, 2010 – Fayston
Free-heelers fly down the mountain at this event, described by organizers as the world’s oldest and largest gathering of telemark skiers. During the weekend, telemark skiers are treated to clinics for beginner, intermediate and expert levels. All the major telemark equipment manufacturers are on hand to give skiers the opportunity to demo all the latest equipment. Mad River Glen, Route 17. U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships at Stratton Mountain

Green Mountain Film Festival
March 19-28 & April 9-11, 2010 – Montpelier and St. Johnsbury
The Green Mountain Film Festival is expanding from Montpelier for the first time, setting up a satellite location in St. Johnsbury. Independent and documentary films dominate the festival this year. 12th Annual Whitingham Maple Festival
March 20-21, 2010 – Jacksonville
Maple sugaring is a rich part of Vermont’s identity and heritage. Eight Whitingham sugarmakers will open their doors this weekend and educate the public about the art and science of maple syrup and sugar making. Maple Open House Weekend
March 26-28, 2010 – Statewide
The annual Vermont Maple Open House Weekend will be held at sugarhouses throughout Vermont. The Open House Weekend is the official kick-off to the maple season in Vermont and is an invitation to the public to visit sugarhouses throughout the state. Pond Skimming at Burke Mountain Ski Resort
April 3, 2010 – East Burke
Take the plunge with pond skimming at this 21st annual event Burke Mountain Ski Area. Competitors dress up and take old skis or a board over the pond. This year’s costume theme is movie characters. Franklin County Quilt Show
April 10-11, 2010 – St. Albans
The 12th annual Franklin County Quilt Show features more than 100 quilts, vendors, a silent auction, demonstrations, awards, door prize and raffle. Special exhibits include Purple Heart Quilts, Breast Cancer Quilts, 2010 Charity Quilt for the Franklin-Grand Isle Habitat for Humanity, and charity quilts for numerous local organizations. The Mud Season Variety Show

This annual rite of spring features local talent and local humor. The fundraiser variety show touches every generation in the town of Randolph, pulling the community together for a showbiz extravaganza that fills the 575-seat Chandler Music Hall on Main Street. Sunshine Daydream Festival
April 17, 2010 – Killington
The Sunshine Daydream Festival is a tribute to the Grateful Dead. Jerry-followers as well as those who simply enjoy soulful music will find an all-day party plus classic New England spring skiing and riding at Killington.
